Boomers O-Line, D-Line Sustains Injuries in Northwest Classen Win

Posted on

The Woodward Boomers big 49-7 win over Northwest Classen at Taft Stadium Friday night came at a cost.

Senior right tackle and defensive lineman Donivan Rogers left the game on a stretcher the first play of the game, which was followed by an almost 20 minute delay as he received medical attention.

An update from the team says Rogers did not break his leg or ankle, but still suffered a dislocation.

Senior left guard/defensive end Cameron Vaverka left the game with a lower body injury on the second play of the game and junior right guard/defensive lineman is also dealing with a knee injury.

With the injuries, all freshmen will dress for Friday night’s homecoming game against Lawton Eisenhower.
