An update has been provided on the condition of Shelby Perry, 22, of Beaver, who was shot and injured during a country music festival in Las Vegas when Stephen Paddock 64, began shooting at the crowd from his room in the Mandalay Bay Hotel Sunday, killing 59 and injuring over 500.

According to Perry’s mother, she was misdiagnosed with a broken arm and surgery will not be required. Perry still suffered a broken collarbone when she was shot in the right bicep. Swelling has come down and the bones have lined up.

Perry has bullet fragments in her shoulder and chest, which are too small to remove and she also has a bruised lung.

Antibiotics and physical therapy will be a part of Perry’s recovery.
